Job description

·Digit88 is looking for a Data Science leader to help us build our Data Science organization. ·You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and analysts on a wide range of problems, bringing scientific thought and statistical methods to leverage the vast amount of data. ·Ultimately enabling the product team to build, develop and improve products that will revolutionize the energy industry. ·To be successful in this role, you should possess ·5+ years data science and analytics experience. ·Strong project management and leadership skills. ·Demonstrated ability to build processes and implement tools from the ground-up. ·Ability to coach and mentor analysts on technical and analytical skills. ·Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses. ·Ability to employ statistics and anomaly detection techniques for data-driven analytics. ·Ability to process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis and modeling. ·Solid experience with common data science toolkits, such as scikit-learn, Spark ML, pandas, Scipy,etc. ·Strong SQL knowledge; working experience with standard Business Intelligence tools is a great plus. ·Experience dealing with large quantities of data across relational and NoSQL databases, cloud storage, and distributed compute systems. ·Ability to scale data science solutions with a keen understanding of how to optimize performance and mitigate computing cost. ·Experience with data visualization tools. ·Experience in the utility or energy industries.
